Advanced Asset Setup

CashFlow+ provides robust tools for managing and forecasting assets, from traditional investments to cryptocurrencies. Here’s a guide to help you set up and track your assets effectively.

Assets in CashFlow+ can include a wide range of items, such as:

• Investment portfolios (e.g., stocks, ETFs)
• Property
• Vehicles
• Cryptocurrencies
• Other financial assets (e.g., funds, savings accounts)

The app also includes basic support for forecasting individual stocks under the Securities section. You can monitor your overall portfolio, estimate its value, and project its anticipated growth.

To help you get started, CashFlow+ comes with several default accounts, including:

• Personal
• Business
• Spouse
• Savings
• Lender
• Debt
• Assets

You can customize these accounts by renaming, deleting, or adding new ones via the Settings menu. The Combined View integrates these accounts and combines their cash flows. When Net Worth Tracking is enabled, assets and debts are included for a holistic view.

Asset accounts in CashFlow+ allow you to track various types of assets, such as:

• Funds & Investments
• Property, Vehicles ..etc.
• Cryptocurrencies

1. Adding an Asset Account: Create a new account to track a specific asset, such as a property, car, or cryptocurrency wallet.

2. Single vs. Multiple Assets: Some accounts, like Property or Vehicles, typically represent a single asset. Others, like Investment or Crypto Wallets, can track multiple assets within a single account.

3. Customizing Asset Types: For each asset, you’ll choose its type and the relevant currency (your default currency or crypto options). CashFlow+ displays the current exchange rate, which you can manually adjust as needed.

4. Growth Rate & Appreciation:

• After selecting the asset type and currency, you can set the Appreciation/Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for the asset. This feature allows you to specify the expected appreciation or depreciation rate for assets like property or the interest rate for financial assets.
• Define the start date and set the Compound Frequency (monthly by default), which pro-rates the forecasted growth at defined intervals.

CashFlow+ also supports cryptocurrency tracking, including stablecoins like USDT. For crypto assets, additional settings include:

• Volatility & Growth Rate: You can set individual volatility and growth rates, with historical data pre-configured for nuanced projections.
• Mimicking Volatile Investments: This feature also allows you to forecast other volatile assets, like a stock portfolio, with similar precision.
